Giving Back - Community Involvement


A. DeVito & Son, Inc. has prided itself on giving back to the local community for which it serves.  After Jack DeVito's untimely death in 1993, a group of friends and family joined together to charter the Jack DeVito Foundation, a non-profit organization that seeks to provide financial, emotional and logistical support for children and families in Northern Westchester.  The foundation, along with the business and the DeVito family have  provided such support to the following groups and organizations:

  • Families of the victims of 9/11 in Northern Westchester
  • Continuing education scholarships and financial assistance
  • Back to school clothes for underprivileged children
  • Toys for hospitalized children
  • Athletic equipment for various local schools 
  • Construction of outdoor classrooms for various local elementary schools
  • Tuition assistance for local nursery schools
  • Food Pantry for the Community Center of Northern Westchester
  • Support Connection for families battling breast and ovarian cancer
  • Workshops and seminars for first generation high school students to attend college
  • Rainbow Connection Summer Program for low-income families
  • Maria Ferrara Children's Hospital
  • Guiding Eyes for the Blind
  • Bluepath Service Dogs
  • Renovation of the Yorktown Teen Center
  • Support for many additional non-profit and service organizations...
